3. General information on data processing

We process Data as part of the operation of our website. Processing of Data also includes disclosure through transmission.

a. Log file
We log your visit to our website. The following Data is processed:

d. Newsletter as part of your subscription If you have taken out a subscription with us, this may include receiving further information by e-mail. The scope and nature of the information is determined by the offer of the respective subscription. We process your e-mail address to provide you with this information.

g. Integration of external content
We use external dynamic content to optimize the presentation and the offer of our website. We have included the Scimagor quality indicator on our website. This is a measure of the scientific influence of journals, citations and articles. The indicator provides you with data for the influence of a content on the scientific discussion. When the quality indicator is retrieved, log data is transferred to the servers of SCImago, a reasearch group of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), University of Granada, Extremadura, Carlos III (Madrid).
The legal basis for the data processing is our overriding legitimate interest in the qualitative data presentation of our online offer and the scientific publications contained therein according to Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR.

5. Duration of the data storage
We only store personal Data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, or you have revoked your consent. As far as statutory storage requirements are concerned, the storage period for certain Data can be up to 10 years regardless of the processing purposes.
